We are in the heart of The Geocaching Capital of Canada!

This awesome outdoor adventure game has really put Wilberforce on the map!  Known for our incredibly crafty and interesting finds, this game will take you into spots you've never seen before, and fuel your passion for exploring.

Head into Wilberforce to find a grocery store, general store,  gift store, hardware store, post office,  liquor/beer store, gas station, restaurant plus various seasonal events.

Wilberforce also boasts an arena, curling club, baseball diamond, tennis and basketball court. Head off to the legion for a drink and a game of pool or treat yourself to one of their many breakfasts or dinners or try your luck at the meat draw.

Rockhounding Adventures and more!

Ride a horse through Algonquin Provincial Park, rent a kayak or SUP board, take a mineral tour or do some rockhounding at the various mineral sites.  Enjoy a host of local fundraising events such as the Penny Raffle or the Agricultural Fair as well as Studio Tours and art events. Hike, bike or ride the many trail systems or even paddle the river - there's always something to do either in the park or just outside it! Red Cross Outpost Museum

Visit the historic Red Cross Outpost museum, declared a National Historic Site in 2003.  Opened in 1922 and operated by live-in nurses until 1957, the outpost served continued to serve various community and medical services until 1963.  The Heritage Guild hosts events throughout the year and provides us with an interesting glimpse into our past.

The new library is the only one of its kind not only in Ontario, but in all of North America!  Having been constructed by students from Sir Sandford Fleming College's Sustainable Building Design and Construction Program using Straw Bale Construction and many other innovative, sustainable building techniques, this community gem is worth a visit!

If you feel the need to wander adventure awaits only minutes away!
  The village of Haliburton is about 25 minutes away with eclectic shops, a golf course, white water rafting and more.  Explore the Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve where you can 'Walk in the Clouds' or 'howl' at the Wolf Centre.  Renowned for its artisan community, two studio tours also provide great opportunities for exploring your artistic side.
   
  Less than half an hour away lies Bancroft, the mineral capital of Canada with a variety of activities for a variety of tastes:  shopping, rock climbing, rock hounding, and golfing to name a few.
  
 If bass and trout aren’t enough for you, dozens of lakes surround us, from the out of the way trout holes to larger Elephant Lake.  Once you’ve had your fill of the lakes why not treat your senses to the splendor and beauty of the highlands.  Trails both on and off the property for hiking and ATVing can transport you into the majesty of nature for an hour, or a day.
